Netflix Announces 'Dasara' Hindi Release Date

Mumbai, May 18 - Telugu actor Nani's period action drama film Dasara is getting ready for its post-theatrical streaming release on Netflix. The movie was released theatrically in March of this year and went on to become a big hit in the original Telugu version with a worldwide gross collection of over 100 crores.## Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, "Dasara" was a Pan India release, however, it failed badly in other languages without making any impact. Netflix acquired the post-theatrical rights of the film in all languages, however, it hold back the Hindi premiere of the movie while other versions are already streaming. ## A section of the Hindi audiences has been asking for the film's Hindi premiere ever since the other versions debuted online. Hyderabad, April 8 - Natural star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama film Dasara has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film of Nani to reach the milestone. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara crossed the 100 crores mark on its 8th day and has so far grossed approx. 106 crores worldwide (10 days). At the domestic box office, the movie has minted approx. 86 crores, including approx. 68 crores in Telugu states. ## Dasara was a multi-lingual release, however, it failed to create any impact other than the Telugu language in which it has so far collected approx. 80 crores gross while other languages have contributed around 6 crores gross. ## At the overseas box office, Dasara has scored around 20 crores gross so far. Hyderabad, April 3 - Natural Star Nani's period action drama Dasara has lived up to its hype and emerged as a successful venture within the opening weekend itself. The movie did good business across Telugu states as well as overseas. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara has become the highest-grossing film of Nani's career as a lead hero. On the 4-day opening weekend, it grossed approx. 84 crores worldwide, surpassing MCA Middle-Class Abbayi's 70 crores approx. worldwide total in 2017.## The movie has performed brilliantly in Telugu states, grossing 55 crores, including approx. 33.50 crores share collection. Hyderabad, April 1 - Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama Dasara was in full flow on the opening day of its release at the domestic as well as overseas box office. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, the movie shattered all the records of the previous films of Nani and Tier-2 Telugu actors. ## Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara grossed an excellent 23.50 crores, including approx. 14.20 crores share in Telugu states on the first day, which is a record for a non-super star's film. The previous record belonged to Vijay Deverakonda's LIGER which grossed approx. 15 crores, including approx. 9 crores share in AP/TG. ## Nani's previous biggest opening-day grosser movie was Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) which scored approx. 7.50 crores share in AP/TG.
