The actress has been dropped from Prabhas-fronted highly-awaited epic sci-fi Kalki 2, which is scheduled to go on floors next year. The makers issued a statement announcing the actress's departure from the film. While the makers didn't reveal the clear reasons, the statement seemingly addressed the lack of commitment by the actress towards the film. Deepika will now be replaced by another actress, who is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, according to the report by Bollywood Hungama, the unreasonable demands of the Pathaan actress were the reason has been dropped from the film. It is said that Deepika demanded a 25% increment on the acting fees she was paid for the first part of the film. She also demanded only 7 hours of work a day. Given that Kalki 2898 AD is a VFX-heavy film, such short shoots were likely to shoot up the budget by a reasonable amount. Hyderabad, December 13 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. Both movies have grossed over 1000 crores worldwide and are the only Indian films of the year to do so. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has grossed approximately 1060 crores globally, including 867 crores gross in India, in its extended 8-day first weekend, surpassing the lifetime total of Kalki which minted approximately 1042 crores gross, including 767 crores gross domestically. Overseas, Kalki is still the biggest Indian grosser with 275 crores gross. ## Pushpa 2 has also beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (1055 crores gross) to become the 6th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office. It will outgross SRK's Jawan (1160 crores) and possibly KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) and RRR (1230 crores gross) this weekend to become the 3rd biggest Indian grosser ever.## Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion (1788 crores gross) are currently the top 2 highest-grossing Indian movies at the worldwide box office.
