The Raja Saab Box Office: Opening Weekend Comparison With Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Kalki, and Adipurush

Hyderabad, January 12 - Pan India superstar Prabhas' The Raja Saab has opened to a 161 crore worldwide over its first weekend, marking an underwhelming start for the romantic horror entertainer. It was an experimental film for Prabhas, who hadn't anything like this before. However, despite the newness, the film failed to make much impact and scored the second-lowest opening weekend for the actor since the Pan India phenomena, Baahubali. When placed alongside Prabhas' biggest post-pandemic openers, The Raja Saab trails significantly behind Kalki 2898 AD, which delivered a thunderous 341.3 crore Friday to Sunday opening weekend, emerging as his biggest post-COVID debut so far. Similarly, Salaar stormed the box office with 325 crore in its first three days, driven by massive fan frenzy, strong mass appeal, and record-breaking openings in the South Indian markets. Mumbai, August 29 - Director Om Raut has finally opened up on Adipurush, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas. It was one of the most-hyped Indian movies in recent times but ended up as a major disappointment on every front.## The movie got trolled for the cringe characterization of the figures of the epic Ramayana and was largely a box office misfire despite the huge initial collections that were pulled through the factor of Ramayana and Prabhas' mega-stardom.## Made on a massive budget of 500 crores, Adipurush grossed around 400 crores at the worldwide box office and was termed a big flop, especially in the Telugu version. The film starred superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, among others in key roles.## Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, "Adipurush" was director Raut's modern take on the epic "Ramayana" and he announced the film with huge enthusiasm in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Netflix Top 10: Guns and Gulaabs Crosses 20 Million; Adipurush Hits 15 Million Viewing Hours

Mumbai, August 30 - Director duo Raj&DK's latest web series Guns and Gulaabs has crossed 20 million viewing hours on Netflix in the first 10 days. The black comedy crime thriller stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanchay Goswami, Gulshan Devaiah, Pooja Gor, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, among other in prominent roles.## "Guns and Gulaabs" debuted August 18 on Netflix and scored 8.1 million viewing hours from 1.3 million views in the opening weekend (August 18-20), and was the 8th most-watched non-English show globally. During the week of August 21-27, the series generated 13.3 million viewing hours from 2.2 million views and was the 7th most-watched title globally.## The total viewing hours of the series are 21.4 million from just 3.5 million views. Box Office: Adipurush Records A Very Low Second Week

Mumbai, June 30 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus "Adipurush", which was one of the most hyped films before release, has turned out to be an epic disappointment at the box office after it fell badly in the second week. ## The Prabhas-fronted film recorded a historic fall of over 90% in the second week and scored just approx. 22.50 crores net collection in all versions. The first-week collection of 260 crores net was itself underwhelming considering the excellent opening weekend of 221 crores net. ## The total net collection of the film currently stands at a little over 282 crores (333 crores gross) and it is likely to finish its run under 300 crores net which is disappointing. The collection of Hindi versions is approx. 145 crores net, followed by the Telugu version with approx. 130 crores. The other versions have contributed around 7 crores net. ## "Adipurush" also couldn't hold well at the overseas box office and has grossed approx. 54 crores so far. This takes the total worldwide gross collection of the movie to approx. 387 crores in two weeks. The movie has some competition going forward which could further make it difficult for the film to sustain. Box Office: Adipurush Sees An Epic Fall After Opening Weekend Wonder

Mumbai, June 22 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush was one of the most-awaited films of the year and it proved with an excellent opening at the domestic box office. ## The effect of Ramayana, plus the star power of Prabhas worked wonders for the film in the opening weekend despite the negative word of mouth as the movie scored 261 crores gross in India. However, what happened next was unexpected as "Adipurush" slipped to a historic low after the opening weekend wonder. ## Despite the word of mouth being against the film, it was still expected to score at a decent level during the weekdays but it faced a near-complete rejection from the audiences. From Monday to Thursday, "Adipurush" grossed just around 46 crores domestically in all languages, for approx. 307 crores opening week domestic collection.## While the opening week numbers of "Adipurush" are big, the drastic fall during the weekdays has more or less sealed the fate of the film as it will be extremely tough to regain the momentum. Box Office: Adipurush Emerges Biggest Bollywood Opener of All-Time

Mumbai, June 17 - Pan India superstar Prabhas's magnum opus Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was in the full flow of its opening day at the domestic as well as overseas box office.## "Adipurush", which is technically a Bollywood production, becomes the first Bollywood movie of all time to gross over 100 crores at the domestic box office in all versions. It has beaten the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" (68 crores) which was released in January this year. ## The movie grossed a solid approx. 102.50 crores at the domestic box office. The Telugu version led the charge with approx. 56.50 crores gross, followed by the Hindi version which accounted for approx. 44 crores gross collection. The versions remained low on the opening day and collected approx. 2 crores gross. The Hindi net collection of 37.25 crores of "Adipurush" is the 9th highest of all-time, ahead of "Sultan" and behind "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".## At the overseas box office, "Adipurush" scored around 25 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection of the movie to 126 crores, which is the highest for Bollywood and 5th highest for an Indian movie after "RRR", "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2" and "Saaho". "Pathaan" grossed 105 crores worldwide on the opening day. ## Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR", which was released last year, remains the biggest Indian opener of all time with 223 crores gross. Mumbai, June 16 - The mega release of the day, Adipurush starring Prabhas and directed by Om Raut has been released at the box office to an unprecedented start. The film was always likely to have an excellent start as it is based on an epic Ramayan but still this sort of start and that too on nonholiday is extraordinary. ## The early estimated collections for the first day of Adipurush in the Hindi version indicate at least 35 crores net. If the night shows perform really well, then a 40cr net opening day is also within reach. The film will easily be the second-highest opening of 2023 in the Hindi version after Pathaan. Even if you take a nonholiday then Adipurush will be the third-highest opener ever in the Hindi version after Pathaan and Prabhas' own Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The reports of the film are mixed just like every event film but that will hardly matter for the general audience who is seeing the film due to the Ramayan factor. Adipurush Sells Over 1 Million Tickets In Advance For The Opening Day

Mumbai, June 15 - One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, Adipurush is finally hitting big screens tomorrow in multiple languages. The movie, based on the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, among others in key roles. ## "Adipurush" is the major attempt to adapt Ramayana and it seems that the Indians are eager to experience this epic on the big screen which is clearly visible in the pre-booking. Box Office: 'Adipurush' To Emerge The Biggest Opener For An Indian Movie of 2023

Mumbai, June 15 - The stage is set for superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush which releases this Friday (June 16) in multiple languages. The Om Raut's directorial has been one of the most anticipated Indian movies and it is expected to emerge as one of the biggest hits of the year. ## The advance booking of the film was opened on Sunday (June 11) in Hindi while the Telugu booking started yesterday (June 14). The response to the pre-booking has been excellent so far, especially in the Telugu version which is witnessing houseful shows across Telugu states.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" is all set to emerge as the biggest Indian opener of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored 67 crores gross collection in all languages in January.
