Sunny Deol's All-Time Box Office Blockbuster 'Gadar 2' Scores Huge Viewership On OTT

Mumbai, November 13 - Sunny Deol's mega box office success Gadar 2 extends its blockbuster run on the digital platform ZEE5. Directed by Anil Sharma, the period action drama grossed around 685 crores at the worldwide box office upon its release on August 11 and became one of the biggest blockbusters of all-time. ## The film was made available on ZEE5 after the 8 weeks of theatrical run on October 6. "Gadar 2" is one of the most watched films in the first week on ZEE5 as it has so far scored 400+ million viewing minutes on the streamer and the numbers are expected to increase in the coming days. ## The huge digital viewership of "Gadar 2" speaks about the popularity of the franchise among Indian households. Mumbai, October 4 - The biggest Independence Day weekend box office blockbuster of the Indian cinema ever, Sunny Deol's period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues has set the streaming release date.## Directed by Anil Sharma, the movie was released on August 11 this year and grossed 685 crores at the worldwide box office. The mega blockbuster movie has almost completed its box office run and now, it will be streaming on ZEE5 from 6 October, 8 weeks after the theatrical release date.## Gadar 2 is the sequel to 2001's all-time blockbuster, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Produced by Anil Sharma in association with Zee Studios, the latest blockbuster stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, who reprise their roles from the previous film. Box Office: 'Gadar 2' Surpasses 'Pathaan' To Become The Highest Net Grosser In Hindi

Mumbai, September 28 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues has crossed the lifetime net collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and becomes the highest net-grossing film ever in the Hindi language, according to producer Zee Studios. ## Directed by Anil Sharma, the mega-blockbuster sequel to 2001's "Gadar: Ek Prem Kathaan" has scored 524.75 crores net collection so far in 48 days, crossing "Pathaan" which scored 524.53 crores net in Hindi earlier this year. The SRK-fronted movie had overall scored 543 crores net which includes approximately 17.50 crores net of Tamil and Telugu versions.## "Gadar 2", however, won't remain the highest-grossing Hindi movie for more than two days as Shah Rukh Khan's latest blockbuster "Jawan" is likely to top both the movies either today or tomorrow to claim the number 1 spot in Hindi. Mumbai, September 3 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is continuing to rewrite box office history as it officially becomes the 3rd film ever to hit 500 crores net collection in Hindi or in a single language in India. ## Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" entered the 500 crores net club on its 4th Sunday. The movie collected 7.8 crores net on its 24th day which took its total net collection to 501.17 crores. It joins SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" (2017) and Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" in the rare prestigious club.## The mega blockbuster sequel achieved this historic milestone on its 24th day, making it the fastest among all three movies to hit the landmark. Previously, "Pathaan" was the fastest to enter 500 crores club with 28 days while "Baahubali 2" took 34 days for the same.## "Gadar 2" has also crossed 650 crores with today's collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the 10th highest-grossing Indian movie of all-time. Mumbai, September 1 - Sunny Deol-fronted mega blockbuster Gadar 2: The Katha Continues scored an excellent third week at the domestic box office. The movie witnessed a drop of just around 52% from the second week which is a phenomenal hold for massy front-loaded movie.## "Gadar 2" was benefited by Rakshabandhan festival as it scored 63.35 crores net collection in the third week. The movie is behind only SS Rajamouli's all-time blockbuster "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" which scored the biggest third week in Hindi with 69.75 crores net. ## Top 50 Third Week Collection Hindi/Bollywood Movies## The sequel has reached 482.45 crores net collection after third week (21 days).
