Kochi, September 27 - Producer Dulquer Salmaan's superhero film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, has turned out to be a mammoth box office success with a gross collection of over 280 crores worldwide. The movie, directed by Dominic Arun, is Malayalam cinema's biggest grosser of all time. On Saturday (September 27), the makers officially announced Lokah Chapter 2, which will be headlined by Tovino Thomas, who, along with Dulquer Salmaan, made cameo appearances in the first part. The announcement was made through a special video, which is intriguing and has set the stage for bigger things to come. In a nearly three-minute-long video featuring Tovino Thomas as Michael/Chathan and Dulquer Salmaan as Charlie/Odiyan, the duo are discussing their characters in a fun conversation. When Charlie describes Michael as a "boring" person, as he always remains drunk, the latter disagrees with it and says he is a fun guy, and that his and his 389 brothers' basic trait is drinking alcohol. Chathan then points to the 'They live among us' book, mentioning how the first chapter was about Kalliyankattu Neeli, whom he calls his girl, and shared that the second part will be about him. He reveals that his brother is violent, not 'fun' like him, as he claims he's after him and Moothon (voiced by Mammootty). When he asks Charlie if he would come in case of any help, he rejects, stating he wouldn't want to interfere in Chathan's family issues. After a small disagreement, Michael says he would bring Charlie even if he doesn't want to come. Dominic Arun will return to write and direct Chapter 2.
