Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Blockbuster 'Leo' Hits 600 Crores Worldwide In 25 Days

Chennai, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-blockbuster Leo has become the third Tamil movie of all-time to top 600 crores at the worldwide box office, after superstar Rajinikanth-led blockbusters "2.0" and "Jailer". ## The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slowing down at the box office but has done its job in the first three weeks. It has completed 25 days in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 600 crores, a first for Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is the second Tamil movie of the year to breach this box office mark after "Jailer". The 600+ crores worldwide gross includes approx. 203 crores overseas collection (studio estimates) while the domestic collection is a little over 397 crores. The movie should be able to top 400 crores in domestic gross in the next few days. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, "Leo" will be looking to cross "Jailer" (604.50 crores) to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time. It will also surpass "PS-1" by today or tomorrow to become the highest-grossing film ever in Tamil Nadu state and a new industry hit in the state. ## "Leo" has had a good run in the Hindi language, in which it is one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies. The movie has scored approx. 31.30 crores gross in 25 days and it will be finishing around 31.50 crores final gross. The movie could have added another 2-3 crores gross but has been reduced to a fewer number of screens after the arrival of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3". ## It is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and is inspired by A History of Violence (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. The film follows Parthi, a café owner and animal rescuer in Theog, who is pursued by gangsters Antony and Harold Das who suspect him to be Antony's estranged son, Leo.## The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas in key roles. ## Stay tuned...

Nani's 'Shyam Singh Roy' Remains The Most Viewed Indian Film On Netflix Last Week

Hyderabad, February 2 - Actor Nani's returned to the big screen with the latest period romantic drama film "Shyam Singha Roy". Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the movie is partly set in the backdrop of Kolkata in the 1970s and it is based on the theme of reincarnation. ## Upon the release in theaters, "Shyam Singh Roy" received a positive reception from the critics and audiences alike. Nani on AP ticket pricing issue: Whatever is happening is not right

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (IANS) Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian starrer 'Shyam Singha Roy' is out in the theatres. As the makers were engrossed in the promotional activities, Nani had spoken on ticket pricing issues in Andhra Pradesh. ## In the wake of unprecedented raids on movie theatres in Andhra Pradesh, a number of theatres are being ceased in multiple locations of Andhra Pradesh. ## While these activities by the government are being considered as revenge on the movie industry people, not many stars have openly condemned the issues as well. ## Nani, who has been vocal on the ticket pricing issues, has reacted to it recently. ## "Whatever is happening is not right. We must keep political issues separate from movie-related issues," Nani said. Nani added: "I can't even put into words rightly. This is like laying an axe on the whole industry."## Nani has been receiving positive reactions to these statements against the acts of the AP government. ## "A relatively small star-like Nani came forward and took the risk of speaking even though his movie is releasing.
