Emraan Hashmi, Yami Gautam's Haq Sees Big Jump On Day 2: Heads For A Decent Weekend

Mumbai, November 8 - Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi-fronted Haq is having a good at the box office. The film, based on a historic Supreme Court judgement, seems to be striking a chord with the audience with its intense courtroom drama and compelling performance by the lead pair. Directed by Suparn Varma, Haq had a decent start domestically after it opened to approximately 1.75 crores in net collections. Though, is nowhere near Yami's last film, Article 370 (5.90 crores net), the film debuted on the expected lines for its genre and subject. The movie received a rousing reception from critics with high praise towards the story and performance of Yami and Emraan. The audience also seems to be on the same page, as the second day is almost 100% with double the collection of day 1. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The growth on the second day is a heartening sign for the film, which is heavily reliant on wom. With a 2-day total of 5+ crores net, Haq is looking at nearly double-digit opening weekend, which is decent given the limited expectations for it. If the initial trend is any indication, Haq is in for a good run at the domestic box office. The WOM is expected to come in handy during the weekdays, as a decent hold through the week will put it on course for a good weekend. Still a long way to go, but the movie's showing positive signs. Emraan Hashmi Yami Gautam starrer Haq clears censor boards worldwide ahead of release

Junglee Pictures"™ upcoming drama Haq, headlined by Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam Dhar, has smoothly crossed one of the biggest pre-release checkpoints "” global censor clearances. The film, inspired by the historic Shah Bano legal case, is set for release on 7 November 2025 and arrives with strong attention on its sensitive legal-drama theme.. As noted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, these are the certification milestones. India "“ Certified UA (13+) by the CBFC on 28 October 2025 UAE "“ Cleared with no cuts, rated 15+ Also cleared in the UK, Australia and New Zealand 'HAQ' CLEARED IN INDIA, UAE, UK, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND... #JungleePictures' #Haq "“ starring #EmraanHashmi and #YamiGautamDhar "“ has received censor clearance in #India, #UAE, #UK, #Australia, and #NewZealand.⭐️ #India: Certified UA 13+ by CBFC on 28 Oct 2025.⭐️ #UAE:"¦ pic.twitter.com/CaVeom53DY— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) November 4, 2025 The UAE clearance "” without any edits "” has drawn attention, especially given the film"™s social and religious sensitivity. Yami Gautam recently highlighted that passing scrutiny in the UAE signals the film"™s balanced, non-provocative approach to its subject."œIf there are no problems there, it means this film isn"™t here to antagonise any faith," Yami noted in a recent interaction. Haq revisits the Shah Bano landmark case, one of India"™s most pivotal legal battles around women"™s rights and religious law. With themes rooted in justice, faith, and societal reform, the film walks a fine line "” and its clean international clearances suggest a respectful treatment of the narrative. Director Suparn Varma reportedly focuses on courtroom intensity, personal trauma, and ethical debate rather than sensationalism "” a choice that seems to have helped the film earn regulatory approvals smoothly. While the film has been cleared, controversy hasn"™t stayed far. Shah Bano"™s daughter reportedly issued a legal notice objecting to the use of her mother"™s story without consent. As of now, the film"™s release schedule remains unaffected. With a UA in India "” allowing teenagers to watch with guidance "” and 15+ in UAE, the film is positioned for a wide audience.Haq now walks into release week with the credibility of global approvals, a quietly confident cast, and a topic that continues to resonate decades later. If early signals are anything to go by, this courtroom drama may well spark conversations not just in theatres, but beyond them.

They Call Him OG Ends Its Theatrical Run "” Pawan Kalyan"™s Blockbuster to Stream on Netflix from Tomorrow(23/10/2025)

After an impressive theatrical journey, Pawan Kalyan"™s action-gangster drama They Call Him OG is gearing up for its digital debut. The film, directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Entertainment, will begin streaming on Netflix from October 23, 2025, just under a month after its grand theatrical release. Released on September 25, 2025, They Call Him OG opened to massive anticipation, marking Pawan Kalyan"™s return to the big screen in a stylish and intense role as "œOjas Gambheera," a gangster with a code of his own. The movie was released across five languages "” Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi "” and quickly established itself as one of the highest-grossing South Indian films of the year. The film"™s India net collection reached approximately ₹ 191.5 Cr, while the worldwide gross is reported to be around ₹ 293.65 Cr, making it one of Pawan Kalyan"™s top-performing films. The film"™s initial occupancy rates were particularly strong in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where single screens reported near-houseful shows during the opening weekend. The combination of Pawan Kalyan"™s charisma, Emraan Hashmi"™s menacing debut in Telugu cinema, and Sujeeth"™s sleek direction contributed to the film"™s strong audience pull. Fans praised the blend of high-octane action, emotional drama, and Thaman"™s powerful background score. After nearly four weeks in theatres, They Call Him OG will now make its OTT premiere on Netflix on October 23, 2025. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, offering wider accessibility for pan-Indian audiences. This move comes as part of a growing trend in Indian cinema, where producers are opting for shorter theatrical-to-digital windows to sustain viewership momentum. The film"™s relatively swift transition to OTT "” just four weeks after release "” underscores the changing dynamics of film distribution in the South Indian film industry. Traditionally, big-budget star vehicles would enjoy at least six to eight weeks of exclusive theatrical screening before heading to streaming platforms. However, the landscape is rapidly evolving. Producers are now adopting hybrid release models to capture audiences across multiple formats. This strategy allows films to maximize both theatrical earnings and digital viewership, keeping them relevant in the conversation even after box office revenue begins to taper off. For streaming giants like Netflix, acquiring such high-profile South Indian titles early helps boost regional subscriber engagement, while for filmmakers, it ensures the movie reaches a broader global audience. In the case of They Call Him OG, the timing aligns perfectly "” the film closes its successful theatrical run while maintaining the excitement for its digital release, offering fans another chance to experience the stylish gangster drama from the comfort of their homes. They Call Him OG stands as a testament to Pawan Kalyan"™s enduring screen power and Sujeeth"™s ability to craft commercially potent cinema with visual flair. With its upcoming Netflix premiere, the film is poised to reach an even wider audience, marking a fitting continuation of its box-office success story.

Pawan Kalyan's Biggest Blockbuster They Call Him OG Gets Its OTT Premiere Date: Here Is When and Where It Will Release

Hyderabad, October 14 - Powerstar Pawan Kalyan"™s gangster action thriller They Call Him OG is all set for its digital premiere. Directed by Sujeeth, the high-octane entertainer is nearing the end of its theatrical run after emerging as the biggest grosser of Pawan Kalyan's career at the worldwide box office. Produced by DVV Entertainment, They Call Him OG has grossed approximately 290 crore globally so far, and will miss the 300 crore milestone. Despite that, the film has turned out to be a strong box office success, marking Pawan Kalyan's first 200-crore film and his most successful outing in years. According to the latest official announcement, the movie will begin streaming on Netflix from October 23 in all languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Having been released in theatres on September 25, the film follows the standard 28-day theatrical window before heading to digital platforms. The South Indian films continue to stick with a 4-week theatrical window despite the criticism from the trade and media, as they believe the short window is not sufficient, as it cuts short the full box office potential of a movie. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, alongside an ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi (in his Telugu film debut), Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Prakash Raj, Abhimanyu Singh, Sudev Nair and Harish Uthaman.
