AK62: Ajith Kumar's Next Film To Be Announced On His Birthday

Chennai, April 30 - Ajith Kumar, fondly called Thala Ajith by his fans, is one of the biggest crowd-pullers in Tamil cinema. The superstar carries a passionate fan-following who waits patiently for his movies to arrive in cinemas. ## The year started with Ajith Kumar releasing his heist action thriller "Thunivu", which, despite the clash with Thalapathy Vijay's "Varisu", grossed around 200 crores worldwide and turned into a superhit venture. Now, the actor is moving to his next AK62, and the official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made in a day or two. ## It is well known that AK62 will be produced by Lyca Productions and as per reliable Tamil industry sources, the official announcement with the title of the movie is expected to be made today (April 30), on the evening of Ajith Kumar's birthday which falls on May 1st. The announcement might arrive in the evening or late at night. ## The confirmation regarding the director is yet to be made but there is a strong buzz on the film to be helmed by Magizh Thirumeni with Arun Vijay as one of the co-actors alongside Ajith Kumar. The movie is expected to go on floors by June this year. ## Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, the renowned cinematographer Nirav Shah is filming a documentary on Ajith Kumar's world tour. Arun Vijay's Much Awaited 'Borrder' Sets October 5, 2022, Release Date

Chennai, August 28 - Actor Arun Vijay's long-awaited spy action thriller Borrder is finally coming to the big screen after getting delayed for more than a year. Directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam, "Border" will hit worldwide theaters on October 5, 2022, on the occasion of Vijayadashami. ## The announcement of the film's release date was made on August 27 with a new poster. The movie has huge expectations riding on it as the combination of director Arivazhagan and actor Arun Vijay has managed to deliver back-to-back successes.## The actor and director first collaborated on the medico-crime thriller "Kuttram 23", which became a super hit. The recently-released web series "Tamil Rockerz" again saw the director and actor working together. As a result of having delivered successful projects back-to-back, expectations from their next film together have gone up.## "Borrder" was supposed to hit the screens in the summer of 2021. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers were left with no choice but to delay the shoot. It was later scheduled to release in theatres on 19 November 2021 but due to floods in Chennai the release was postponed. ## The film stars Arun Vijay, Regina Cassandra and Stefy Patel, revolves around patriotism. Arun Vijay tests positive for Covid-19

Chennai, Jan 5 (IANS) Actor Arun Vijay, who has a number of films in different stages of production, on Wednesday announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19. ## The actor, who is playing the lead in director Hari's 'Yaanai', which is waiting to hit screens, took to social media to make the announcement. ## Arun Vijay wrote: "Hi everyone!! This is to inform you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am currently under home quarantine and am following all the safety protocols as per my doctor's advice. Thanks for all the love.
