Bengaluru, September 23 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's action-adventure thriller film Vikrant Rona has been receiving a thundering response on ZEE5. The movie started premiering digitally on September 2 after becoming a box office hit, grossing over 100 crores worldwide. ## After its successful outing at the box office, "Vikrant Rona" continued its good run on the streaming platform as well as it has crossed 1000 million or 100 crores viewing minutes on ZEE5, announced the makers. Bangalore, January 8 - The makers of Kichacha Sudeepa's big-budget action-adventure film "Vikrant Rona" have reinstated their commitment to the film's theatrical release, despite the lucrative OTT offers. Directed by Anup Bhandari, "Vikrant Rona" is currently slated for February 24, 2022, worldwide in multiple languages. ## Since the movie has been delayed a few times, there were reports that the makers might take the OTT route for the film. Producer Jack Manjunath too confirmed that they are getting many big offers but they are committed to the theatrical release of the film. ## "It is true that we have been receiving some really good offers for direct online releases as it is a film that created a buzz nationally. But the film has seen nearly three years of hard work to ensure it is a world-class 3D release. Hence, while the prices being offered are tempting, we are waiting for a proper theatrical release to ensure everyone sees our vision the way we intended them to", he said according to ETimes. ## Meanwhile, the makers haven't taken a call on pushing the release date of "Vikrant Rona" yet as the country is going through the third covid-19 wave. Many states have imposed restrictions on theaters, including Karnataka, where theater capacity has been reduced to 50% and night curfews have also been introduced. ## However, they did have to change their plans with regard to promotions. "We had a teaser that was planned for a January-11 release where it would have been playing along with all the big festive releases across different languages. But, with most of them postponing their releases, we were forced to change that plan and have deferred our teaser launch for now".## "Vikrant Rona" is a 3D film that will be released in Kannada along with dubbed versions of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other languages. The cast of the film also includes Nirup Bhandari, Neeta Ashok, and Vasuki Vaibhav, among others. Bangalore, July 31, 2021: Actress Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to make her Kannada debut with the 3D fantasy action-adventure film, "Vikrant Rona". The makers, on Saturday (July 31), unveiled the first look poster of Jacquline as Gadang Rakkamma from the film that stars Kichcha Sudeep in the lead role. ## Written and directed by Anup Bhandari, Jacquline Fernandez will feature in an extended cameo appearance in the movie while Nirup Bhandari and debutante Neetha Ashok stars in the lead roles. Bangaluru, July 17, 2021: Bollywood diva, Jacqueline Fernandez has wrapped up her portion for her Kannada debut movie Vikrant Rona, starring Kichcha Sudeep in the lead. Jacqueline was roped in to play a brief role, and she has even shot for a song with Sudeep in the film, written and directed by Anup Bhandari. ## Anup Bhandari took to Facebook and announced that Jacquline's first look and character name from Vikrant Rona will be revealed soon. Sudeep plays a character called Vikrant Rona. Eventually, the makers changed the film's title to Vikrant Rona. The film's title and logo were unveiled at the Burj Khalifa on the occasion of Sudeep completing 25 years in the industry in February this year. ## The movie is produced by Shalini Jack Manju and Alankar Pandian under the banners of Shalini Arts, and Invenio Films India in association with Kichcha Creations.
