Hyderabad, June 28 - It might be a marketing gimmick, the makers declared actor Vishnu Manchu's divotational film Kannappa as an industry hit, only after the first day. This is the first instance when the makers of any film have declared their movie an industry hit, after the opening day itself. ## While the intention behind such a gimmick is unclear, it is probably the silliest thing to do, as in reality, Kannappa will fall way short of the box office mark, which is required to become an industry hit. It is basically a self-trolling act by the Kannappa team, which is strange to even think about. ## As for the box office collection, Kannappa opened to around 11 crores gross at the Indian box office and around 13 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Hyderabad, November 25 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's prestigious devotional action drama Kannappa is one of the keenly-awaited Telugu movies with big actors featuring in it. The movie is directed by Mahabharata fame Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. ## Kannappa has been in the making since last year and the makers have now confirmed its release date.
