Mumbai, June 30 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's comedy-thriller Housefull 5 is losing momentum at the domestic box office amid growing competition, as the film collected approximately 1.50 crore net collection in its fourth weekend.## Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the fifth instalment in the popular franchise has amassed around 182 crore net (217 crore gross) in India over 24 days. Despite the slowdown, the film remains the second-highest-grossing Bollywood release of 2025, trailing only Vicky Kaushal's "Chhaava". ## Globally, Housefull 5 has earned an estimated 287 crore gross, including about ₹70 crore from overseas markets. With this, it is on course to finish just below "Sooryavanshi" (₹293 crore gross) as Akshay Kumar's second-biggest worldwide hit post-COVID. ## Within the franchise, Housefull 5 stands as the second-highest grosser, behind Housefull 4 (296 crore worldwide, 2019). Mumbai, June 17 - It has been more than a year since the shoot of superstar Akshay Kumar-fronted Welcome To The Jungle kicked off. But things are not as smooth as they seemed, as the filming of this much-awaited biggie is on hold since August 2024. ## There have been reports that the shoot of Welcome 3 would resume soon, but the latest development suggests that the situation is grim around the movie, which has landed in big trouble owing to financial conflicts, according to Pinkvilla. ## It is known to all that the film was last shot in August 2025, and nearly 70% of the shoot was completed. The report says that over the last 6 months, around 2-3 shooting schedules were cancelled, and a new schedule, slated to take place in June, has also been cancelled. ## The actors of the movie are confused about the things going on in the movie. "They have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues", says the report. ## In another alarming development, Pinkvilla reports that some of the originally cast actors have left the film, over non-payment of dues and an unclear situation, and the remaining are still lending their support for the love of the franchise. 'Housefull 5' Eyes Record Opening In The Franchise

Mumbai, June 6 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-led comedy entertainer Housefull 5 hits the big screen today, June 6, amid huge anticipation. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, it is the costliest film of the franchise, and the expectations are huge from this at the box office. ## Housefull 5 scored one of the biggest advances of the year for a Bollywood title, with approximately 2.50 lakh tickets sold worth approximately 8 crore gross collection (without block seat) for the opening day. The pre-sales, however, are not as big as it was expected given the franchise value and huge star cast. ## Despite pre-sales falling short of expectations, Housefull 5 is eying the record opening in the franchise. In comparison to one of the recent films, Sikandar, the advance booking of HF5 is slightly behind, but it needs to be noted that the Salman Khan-starrer had a Sunday release. ## It has also been observed that the Housefull franchise is not usually an advance-heavy franchise and has relied on spot bookings, and this seems to be the case with the latest instalment.
